Sucks being black

OK, i hear my president telling us that the ANC must be able to accept constructive criticism and have internal debates but there’s no proof in the pudding sadly. One typical example is this whole Cyril Ramaphosa scenario. He’s being made a scape-goat for Marikana massacre.

As a stake-holder in mining he had every right to express his concern of the situation. How the police deal with the concern and how they execute their duties doesn’t fall under his scope. That is the real of Rhea Phiyega & Nathi Mtethwa.

Likewise I’ve been blasted for expressing my annoyance at wasteful expenditure. R240mil estimated at Nkandla. Eastern Cape can’t account for billions. Presidency’s expenditure maybe warranted, but excess is noted. Consultant fees running into hundreds of millions while we have graduates sitting at home.

Surely its government’s prerogative to hire skilled staff in order to have capacity to execute excellent service delivery. But the more we protest and dry, the more we are called counter-revolutionaries. Struggle politics need to give way and addressing people’s needs. In a country where 40% are unemployed, 40% are contributing to tax and the rest depend on social grants the new struggle is for the stomach.

It pains to see what our beloved ANC has evolved into. Especially the fact that i’ll be slammed for expressing this opinion. Only DA supporters apparently criticize ANC, not ANC supporters contrary to Zuma’s assertion i might add.
